A Message from Our Founder
“Food has a unique way of carrying the soul of a place. When I first envisioned Nanglo Restaurant, I didn't just want to build another eatery in the busy streets of Bur Dubai; I wanted to build a bridge back to our heritage.
The Nanglo—the traditional bamboo tray—is a symbol found in almost every home across the Himalayan foothills. It represents the hard work of the harvest and the meticulous care that goes into preparing a meal for the family. It is a circle that brings people together. That is exactly what we strive to do here.
Growing up, I remember the intoxicating aroma of fresh spices being ground and the steam rising from a hot pot of Momos. At Nanglo Restaurant, we bring those childhood memories to life. We haven't compromised on the heat of our chillies, the depth of our lentils, or the authenticity of our techniques. Every dish that leaves our kitchen and reaches your table is a piece of our heart, prepared with the same honesty as a meal shared in a village home.
Whether you are a fellow expatriate looking for a taste of home, or a food lover in Dubai eager to explore the true flavors of Nepal and Indo-Chinese cuisine, we welcome you. Thank you for letting us share our culture and our kitchen with you. We don't just want to be your favorite restaurant; we want to be the place where you feel you truly belong.”
